Fairway Consulting and Engineering, LLC (Fairway) is a Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) with offices in Mandeville and Covington, Louisiana. We are certified as part of the State of Louisiana Hudson Initiative – Small Entrepreneurship and Small Emerging Business Development Programs. We are consultants and engineers with specialties in Engineering Technical Services, and Political and Management Consulting (Project Management). The principals of the firm have more than twenty-five (25) years of combined experience. Our client base is primarily within Southeast Louisiana with the majority of our clients being on the Northshore. The firm’s principals are both residents of the Northshore and are active members of both professional and charitable organizations in our community. Fairway has a vested interest in providing services that contribute to the betterment of our community for generations to come.

Rachael P. Catalanotto, JD

Mrs. Rachael P. Catalanotto, JD is the majority owner of the firm with over eleven (11) years of experience in the legal profession. Mrs. Catalanotto will be focused on political consulting, business development, executive legal counsel and risk management. Mrs. Catalanotto is well respected within her profession and her work on behalf of Northshore charitable organizations has resulted in fundraising exceeding $50,000 for the local non-profits, including the Miracle League, Youth Service Bureau, NAMI and Savannah Smiles. She has also been involved in local political campaigns, including as treasurer for campaign which raised over $800,000.00. She is vice-president of the 22nd JDC Bar Association, a member of the Federal Bar Association, and Inn of Court. She also serves as a hearing committee member of the Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board.

John Catalanotto

John A. Catalanotto, PE, PMP

Mr. John Catalanotto has over fifteen (15) years of experience in project management, detailed design, construction management, and field operations. Throughout his career, Mr. Catalanotto has fulfilled the role of Principal-in-Charge, Project Manager, and Project Engineer, and Lead Engineer for numerous civil, structural, environmental (wet infrastructure – water & wastewater), roadway, and oil and gas projects with capital costs ranging from $10,000 to $2.3 billion.

Mr. Catalanotto has expertise with providing consulting services for both private and public agencies, the majority of which are within southeast Louisiana and east Texas. Mr. Catalanotto has significant experience with evaluating and designing improvements to water and wastewater utility systems including treatment plants, pipelines, and pump stations. Additionally, Mr. Catalanotto has experience with developing and managing civil (paving, grading, drainage) and structural designs for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Mr. Catalanotto’s Federal contracting experience was gained through his role as lead civil and mechanical engineer for a design-build project with Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in Belle Chase, Louisiana. He also has significant experience working with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) for disaster response and recovery efforts of Hurricane Katrina, Rita, and most recently Harvey.
