Project Description
Fairway Consulting and Engineering (Fairway) was selected by the Town of Abita Springs as the Town Engineer and is providing technical support to the Town on an as-needed basis. Services provided by Fairway generally include the following:
1. Provide consultation and technical advice on the Town’s utility (water/wastewater), stormwater drainage system, transportation system, and other City-owned facilities;
2. Provide/develop minor designs, studies, and evaluations for Town infrastructure;
3. Provide CADD and Geographic Information System (GIS) services;
4. Develop scopes of work, schedules, and Opinions of Probable Construction Cost (OPCC) for capital improvement projects;
5. Technical support in connection with and attendance at Town public meetings (Town Council, Planning & Zoning, etc.);
6. Preparation of grant or loan applications to request funding from State or Federal agencies;
7. Administration of grants or loans when funding is received;
8. Prepare or review Request for Proposals (RFPs) or Request for Qualifications (RFQs) for materials, equipment, and services procured by the Town;
9. Support during the procurement phase of RFP’s or RFQ’s and attendance at pre-proposal conferences;
10. Provide general construction administration support for public works or capital improvement project;
11. On-site project representation/inspection for public works or capital improvement projects.
