Project Description
Fairway Consulting and Engineering, LLC (Fairway) is the prime firm responsible for the design of an interconnection between the Alton Water System operated and maintained by Tammany Utilities (TU) and a neighboring water system operated and maintained by Central States Water. The design scope of work includes preparation of plan and profile drawings for approximately 1,600 linear feet of 8-inch/10-inch water main. The project includes a jack and bore installation under US Hwy 11 and an active Norfolk-Southern (N-S) railroad right-of-way (ROW). The project required close coordination and permitting with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), Louisiana Department of Health, and N-S.
