Project Description
Fairway Consulting and Engineering (Fairway) is the lead design engineer responsible for performing the design to replace the existing Kinler Street lift station located in St. Charles Parish. The existing lift station is a dry – pit submersible type station with an existing steel can enclosure. The existing lift station has passed its useful operational lifespan, and the location of the pumping station near the roadway makes maintenance and operations challenging. The new lift station will be relocated across the street in a vacant lot and the existing gravity influent will be rerouted to the new lift station site. It is anticipated that the new lift station will be a submersible type, inclusive of new mechanical piping/valves, below grade valve vault, and control panel. The new lift station will be permitted through the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH). Once the new lift station is operational, the existing lift station will be decommissioned and demolished.
