Project Description
Fairway Consulting and Engineering, LLC (Fairway) performed an assessment of the existing oxidation pond and lift stations for the Twin Oaks Wastewater System located in Raceland, Louisiana. Through the assessment, Fairway developed a short- and long-term capital improvement plan for the System. Total recommended improvements totaled approximately $2,000,000. Fairway is providing design services for improvements to the existing oxidation. The improvements were necessitated in response to a Compliance Order from the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ). Improvements will consist of providing new primary treatment/screening, aerators, baffle walls, chlorine contact basin and sodium hypochlorite chemical feed, and an access road. Fairway’s design will provide provisions for the future addition of a polishing reactor.
